ABOUT THE KAMIUMI COLLECTIONS
The Kamiumi Collections is a selection of three different menswear lines that are connected through their inspiration. These collections are inspired by the Kami trio, Amaterasu, Susanoo, and Tsukuyomi from Japanese Mythology. The concept for this collection is to use the Japanese art of origami to drape and create sculptural woven garments.

AMATERASU OMIKAMI COLLECTION
The inspiration behind this collection is, Amaterasu Omikami, the goddess of the sun and the universe in Japanese mythology. Her name roughly translates to, “shining in heaven.” According to legend, Amaterasu, was responsible for keeping balance and harmony within the earthly realm. The textiles and prints featured in the collection are derived through the stories featuring Amaterasu told in the book, the Nihongi. The prints featured in the collection are inspired by the Japanese art of wood blocking.
TSUKUYOMI NO MIKOTO COLLECTION
The inspiration behind this collection is, Tsukuyomi no Mikoto, the god of the moon  in Japanese mythology. Tsukuyomi was born from a mirror made of white copper in Izanagi's right hand. The textiles and prints and color story featured in the collection are derived through the stories featuring Tsukuyomi told in the book, the Nihongi. The prints featured in the collection are inspired by the Japanese art of wood blocking by incorporating wood texture into the designs while maintaining a classic and sophisticated silhouette.
SUSANOO NO MIKOTO COLLECTION
The inspiration behind this collection is, Sunanoo no Mikoto, the god of the storms and seas  in Japanese mythology. Susanoo is the younger brother of Amaterasu, he is a multifaceted deity with contradictory characteristics, being portrayed in various stories either as a wild, impetuous god or as a courageous hero.  The textiles and prints and color story featured in the collection are derived through the stories featuring Susanoo told in the book, the Nihongi. The prints featured in the collection are inspired by the Japanese art of wood blocking and each print is inspired by different parts of Susanoo's life.
